Book Review: Mrs Boots By Deborah Carr

Huge fan of Deborah's with this bountiful read concerning the world's favorite chemist's wife, the extent of their devotion and love, the lengthy relationship requirements prior to marriage and much more.

The book started off with an intro, a grasp of the maturity levels on both ends, the limitations placed by the parents, and of course the restrictions of locations for marriage which was placed outside their control.

I loved the fact that this began in the late 1800's at a time period when the parents had a large say in how their children got acquainted and whether or not Florence should listen to her mother's demands not to marry and separate for a year.

Can you imagine? Writing your every thought, feeling, heartfelt joys on paper for over a year before proposing marriage?

He's a shopkeeper and while that may have played a role in terms of income potential it was not the only issue.

Lily was a friend who played a smaller role as a hired hand.

The only slightly disappointment for me was the ending as obviously the title tells you what'll happen it was the overall way it came about that left me longing for more.

All in all a great and powerful read about love, relationships, and the trials and tribulations in between.

That longing to be united as one was a true thrill!
