Book Review: "Don't Turn Back" By D.S. Butler

An unnamed character is on the run with a notebook in hand. His body is uncovered by DS Karen Hart which leads to a strange set of circumstances.

It starts at a family barbeque and proceeds to Karen's past history and family struggles.
Many secrets lie within Canwick's landscape and quaint village.

A modern day slavery ring may be in operation with some deep seeded corruption in play.
Could a possible cover up be operating within the confines of those entrusted to help?

Could the murders hold the key to uncovering the truths especially when an eyewitness comes forth.

Is the fire at the Red Lion somehow intertwined in this larger picture?

Code names may be a huge help to uncovering those involved and it's now a mere race against time.

I enjoyed this book and I'm hoping you do as well because it was a fast paced thriller with plenty of action with both the slavery/murder topic as well as the conclusion to whether or not her family passed accidentally or was something more in the mix.

Thank you to DS Butler, the pub, NetGalley, and Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review
