Point blank this book shows us everything we shouldn't allow our teens to become involved with and why young girls should be strong and not weak in choosing a partner and I emphasize the latter as women need not a man to be strong in the world.
We need to understand that showing women and young ladies as weak does a great disservice to not only the feminist movement but to young girls everywhere.
Why on Earth would anyone have a young man treat a young lady like garbage and call it LOVE?!
I realize I'm in my late 40's, grew up strict Catholic, had 3 brothers being the only daughter, but hell come on? Tomboy or not this gal knows a con when I seen one and sure the lovebombing and smoke was not easy to see through being on cloud nine but once I cleared the cobwebs of love it was a reality check that nobody not even myself could've ignored.
Look, should a teen happen to come across this book-Do yourself a favor and do the exact opposite of what's noted in it.
Stand tall, stand proud, make a man earn your respect, don't give it away.
You are made in the image of God, you are God's chosen one, and you have everything you need within to be successful. Regardless of this nonsense choose yourself first and prioritize your needs first and don't worry about the gossipers or the haters as they will always find a negative.
When I got married in my late 20's I was labeled by my malignant narcissist husband at that time as nothing more than 'eye candy' 'trophy wife' and 'business partner.'
When I woke up from the smoke and fog that surrounded this relationship of mine I left with nothing more than the shirt on my back and three kids in tow.
I had no job, no income, no assets, no savings, no credit, no safety net and here I stand 7 yrs outside the marriage and divorce to tell you it's going to be ok.
Don't fall for the hype. Believe in self. Stand for something or fall for anything.
You hold the pen ladies...
Enough said. I'm out till we meet again!
