Book Review: "The Stationary Shop" By Marjan Kamali

Isn't love grand?

Whether during political turmoil such as the Iranian coup or at a stationary shop, whether in the heat of battle or on the sidelines, whether in love letters or in the mist of trying to convince your mother she's the ONE...the only ONE!

Oh, Roya's poems are just the tip of the intellectual overtones as we ride the wave of ups and downs, of turmoil and triumph, of betrayal and revenge, of lust and of love.

I can't imagine a more perfect way than to meet 60 yrs later to rekindle those flames that still burn bright.

Once Roya met Bahran it was chemistry with full blown butterflies encircling these two. However, as with any young love the mother was reluctant to let him marry.

Protests broke out. Couple no more. The two sisters leave for 'hopes' of the American dream.

The two sisters both marry American men and though it sounds lovely the story doesn't end.

Unfinished business is just around the corner and it will leave readers in tears as this story is so eloquently written and beautifully demanding of your full and undivided attention.

It's a must read !
