Sometimes you can become your own worst enemy- Do you hear me, Annie?
Yes, truth be told this was an interesting premise and story with Annie trying to play both sides of the fence.
She claims she's not lonely. She claims she's nearly in a relationship. She claims she's content.
However, she comes across as too eager too please. Too barbaric. Too difficult to endure.
Yet, she may have good reasoning for her actions. She's been cast aside. She feels like a ghost. Nobody notices her until she become a suspect in 12 yo Chloe's disappearance.
Now, she may be able to get attention but it may not be the kind she wants or needs.
Annie may have been 'exposed' and Chloe may not have gone missing after all as she may have truly sought out a different path like so many troubled kids do.
What's up with the Tegan family and why are they so involved?
This mob mentality of a woman with a personality trait disorder or other serious mental issue may not be all it's cracked up to be.
It's a wait and see as this one plays out beautifully.
Thank you to Marianne Holmes, the pub, Netgalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
