An interesting view from a different perspective both sexually and organically in the world of Bill Hayes who clearly is in love with New York City and its surrounds.
What I will say is that I'm not into homosexuality as much as perhaps this author but the love he exudes comes across through the written word. His norms have changed as he can no longer simply get a haircut, go out for a drink, flirt, or any other number of items that have warranted a different approach due to the pandemic.
While I enjoyed his take on this altered state of being it wasn't as fulfilling as I'd hope especially with so much diversity and voices within the confines of this gorgeous (once bustling) state.
It's said what the pandemic has done but even sadder is not the new norm but those who have passed.
It has brought out both the best and worse in many and has shown the true colors of so many people.
Thank you to my local library for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
