Book Review: "Rescue You" By Elysia Whisler

A fresh start. A new life. A new love.

First and foremost, a special thank you goes out to Harlequin Books for this invite to the 2020 Fall Reads Blog Tour with this wonderful author Elysia Whisler.

Though my days of running are not what they used to be pushing 50 ...this book not only will entice you to get it done but to do so with a bit of style and flair -all your own.

I love the fact that in Rescue You there's several individuals that could use rescuing besides just the animals and it's ironic how it all seems to fall into place.

We begin with two sisters- Constance and Sunny- whom lost their mother- on the mends to healing and are on the prowl to save as many dogs as they can.

Enter Rhett a Crossfit gym owner and vet who is as scarred from battle wounds and horrific memories of his time in action but perhaps may have met his match with Stanzi as she's come to be known.

However, the real enticement is in the flavor, the raw emotions, the heart warming appeal for those less fortunate and the struggles to not only thrive but survive. That will to keep your dreams alive, your business afloat, your family by your side, and if you can do so while in love -all the better.

Stronger, better, fitter, wiser, and with a new sense of purpose awaits the readers with these multi-faceted characters that you're sure to find some type of relatable action.

For me I was not a fan of those burpees, nor the rope pulls, or the medicine balls, or heck the air bikes that made my legs turn into a Gumby version but it's all smokin' when you find in your late 40's that you still can keep up with the younger crowd and I'm sure Rhett felt the same.

That second wind was often discussed in this novel and it's no surprise this book will leave you feeling like a breath of fresh air on that cold fall evening.

Thank you to all those who helped provide this ARC in exchange for this honest review.

I hope you find this blog tour helpful and you're able to gather up a copy and enjoy!
