To say this book was odd would be an understatement as I'm not sure what to make of it.It felt like a hodge podge of ideas in which as grumpy man whose reached his prime is having a hard time with life in general, falls in love with a scruffy mutt, and goes on an excursion together avoiding the pitfalls of ex wives and his own offspring.
Suffice to say it's an unlikely pairing but it wasn't that exciting so for me it's just a basic ok read but nothing to really capture the moment or build upon it.
