Book Review: "The Friends We Keep" By Jane Green

First I'll start off by saying Jane Green was one of the first authors who provided me a copy of her work when I first started this new role as 'book reviewer' and I will always respect her work for that reason along with the fact she is an amazing author.

It's a friends for life, grown apart, and reconnect to form a magical bond for their 30th reunion perfectly flawed and perfectly cool with it all!

I loved it!

The characters were relatable especially for this former model and starving myself thin gal with many being multi dimensional with interesting lives.

The mid way point plot twist with Maggie was a true shocker but the aftermath with Jack was mind blowing work.

Each one of these lovely ladies has their own pain to process whether that's sleeping with a married man as Evvie knows all too well, or your speaking of Maggie and her alcoholic husband Ben, or perhaps you delve into the world of sexuality with Topher; each carries its own weight in gold.

Ben I suppose has life come full circle if you will and sadly he cannot answer the calling but it's safe to say that Jack carries us all across the finish line.

The "My 2 Moms Diner" is proof that good things can result when life gives you sour lemons.

Ps. I won't hold it against the author that I didn't receive an early copy per request March 1st from Netgalley even though I'm Top 25 Goodreads Reviewer, 98%feedback at Netgalley, with over 1026 books read in 2018.
