Pete is a legend both on and off the field and with this novel he shows us that much of what he did was with his father in mind. He was apparently very close to his father, he idolized the man, he respected him so much that in the end he wished he was alive to steer him in the right direction after his betting cost him his Hall of Fame spot. What is even more notable is the fact that his current family wasn't mentioned much nor his son Pete Jr. other than the fact he felt bad when he was ostracized for this father's actions. I've always respected Pete Rose for his skill , talent, and hard nose plays. He is an amazing individual who I was able to meet a few years back for a photo meet n greet at Mt. Pocono's Mt. Airy Lodge. I do hope he returns some day and gives us all something to talk about. Much love for the legend "Charlie Hustle. |
