I've been in a loveless empty bottomless pit of a black hole marriage but hell this just raised that bar in terms of why marriages fail and perhaps why many chose to marry in the first place.This may be as one reviewer put it a bunch of smoke and mirrors but when you marry a narcissist aka sociopath or psychopath that's exactly what you get and that's exactly the point the author was making.
There's a dilemma sweeping the nation with entitlement but also at the flip end there's the lack of empathy, compassion, and love and this book makes you feel all those emotions to a 'T'!
It appears that Sheryl Browne wanted readers to think and feel one way about this entire marriage on the rocks between Karla and Jason until the truth was ultimately revealed in mind twisting fashion.
You know that whole deal with hush money, blackmail, threats, intimidation, fear, and anxiety induced PTSD panic stricken moments using fight or flight responses ...well expect that and more here in this amazing new thriller.
