Book Review: "Beyond The Gate" By Mary SanGiovanni

Ever wonder what's beyond the gate?

How about the gate from hell?

This is a welcome mat to the other world courtesy of Mary SanGiovanni and you may never return or if you do you'll never be the same I assure you.

It's creepy as all heck but don't let that stop you just because the parasites have arrived and they are all over the place or at least they are present right before the gate.

I seriously have never read any of Mary's work prior but this work well as a stand alone though I heard the others are just as unnerving in dealing with the 'other world' and the occult.

Kathy is a superb main character who is the investigator of this new realm hired as a 'savior' on a rescue mission but a warning Paragon's true intentions have little to do with this rescue. As the story unfolds we learn the Paragon Corporation has discovered this alternate reality world with no sentient beings only scientists.

Did I mention those scientists are now missing?
Good Lord!

We also learn there is a whole host of crazy here with quarantine chambers, parasites, and well death and lots of it just before the gates.

I guess all I can say is,"Good Luck" to Kathy and her team of non volunteers as they try to deal with this lifeless city that refuses to quit.

I can't go into too much but suffice to say you need to get yourself a copy and stat!

Thank you to Mary, the publisher, NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
