Book Review: "The Cold Way Home" By Julia Keller

A unique read that has a nice even pace with a well written story line that will have you pondering it long after it's finished.

It all begins with Bell and Jake who are investigating mysterious deaths in the area around West Virginia.

The teen murder at the psychic hospital that burned to the ground may have been just the beginning as we learn of another challenging case in the VA woods that leads this duo all the way to Ackers Gap High School.

However, the evidence isn't black and white and they must risk trying to put to rest the dead with dignity while honoring their memory and those that are still living.

It's quite emotional as we learn that what occurred here is not what it appears to be on the outside looking in and quite a few lives have been forever altered.

Worse is that the scars may have been permanent with discussion of lobotomies being performed and a diary or two being left behind as proof of the past.

My word, I can't say anything more but suffice this is a must read.
