Book Review: "Pride of Eden" By Taylor Brown

"I am Mosi. This land is Mine."

Well now Mosi has claimed the territory but the author has not truly captured the heart.
I would've loved to have given this more than a few stars but for me there's an emptiness and a loss for the characters of this story.

The animals are exquisitely portrayed and beautifully written but sadly the human forms are lacking in substance and depth.

Anse Caulfield rescues exotic animals but is saddened when the prized lion escapes and is killed.

Joining forces with Malaya a soldier might help the mission to bring back the lion.

Along the way we uncover a bizarre underworld that is brutal with an ex cage fighter named the Wolfman raising wolf dogs.

It progresses to reflections and perspectives from more of an animal's insight with only a few human interactions being present.

It was quite the wild ride especially for the mere fact that I'm an animal lover yet disheartening tugging on the despair and heartbreak over the loss of so many majestic creatures for pure human selfish means.
