Book Review: "The Sun Down Motel" By Simone St. James

The Bates Motel has nothing on the Sun Down Motel as it wreaks of the dark side!

Problem is whose going to believe a night clerk who just moved in seeking employment?

I mean really a haunted motel right off the highway sounds like a made for tv movie...

However there are two competing time lines with two main figures and both are related.

Carly Kirk was 20 yo in 2017 when her Aunt Viv disappeared from the motel without a trace.

Yet in 1982 there was more than a trace of evidence that tickled her fancy when she began to investigate not only strange occurrences but murders from the past through articles.

The madness began with Tracy Waters who was found dead in'82 in a ditch naked, a 9 yo boy died in the pool named Billy, and Cathy was found at the overpass who left work and never returned.

If this isn't bad enough it turns out Victoria Lee was strangled on a jogging trail and left for dead along with Betty Graham who was murdered in '78 and cast aside at a construction site.

It's a mystery as to the deaths and the connections but one thing is certain perhaps they all knew the same person and this person may have travelled extensively.

When Rob White enters the picture along with Nick Harness we get a different perception of the story.

Rob was cheating with Helen and boy there's an ax to grind between them! Big League!
Yet several questions lingers?

Do we have a serial killer in the works?

Is Viv alive or dead?

Well I love two things about this one and that's the memories of Alfred Hitchock's movies

especially the Bates Motel and the fact that I've always loved Farah Fawcett....

This is another must read thriller!
