Book Review: "Big Lies in a Small Town" By Diane Chamberlain

Morgan Christopher's life has been anything but perfect. Sadly it's about to get much worse with an accident she agrees was her fault.

Taking the hit for the accident wasn't just her only mistake as it turns out she was drinking that night but she wasn't the one behind the wheel. As we often learn even doing the right thing can often backfire.

Sadly, Emily will never be the same suffering permanent paralysis from these actions.
Yet while serving her sentence she's offered an unbelievable deal from a visitor (Lisa Williams) and her attorney.

A deal that may be too good
to be true in restoring an old mural by an artist known simply as Anna.

Anna Dale painted the mural back in the 40's but something in that mural upon restoring it spoke to Morgan.

The darkness, the madness, the violence, the conspiracy clouded the images.

Could small town secrets have something to do with this mural hanging at the local post office?

The story takes a drastic turn as we embark on Anna's story and how it came to be that she was chosen to display her artwork.

Yet in the truth there's plenty of pain.

Sadness is not an end all and Anna is determined to see it through but where is Anna? Is it possible she's still alive after all these years? She would be 100 years young if she survived but nobody has seen her.

Told in two varying time lines from the 1940's to more current 2018 this will certainly capture your attention and leave you guessing about everything you thought you knew.

The war years was also a time of widespread racial discrimination and segregation.

Diane does a remarkable job in displaying the courage many men and women had shown during these times of great uncertainty.

I absolutely fell in love with every aspect of this magnificent new read by the wonderfully talented Diane Chamberlain.

Thank you to Diane, the publisher, NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
