Book Review: "The Four Winds" By Kristin Hannah

Kristin Hannah has written so many great novels that one can only ponder if she can continue on the winning streak and yet time and time again she proves she's at the top of her game.

Her writing will break you, move you, and heal you -all at once and she offers no regrets only explanations of why, how, and when she decided to choose such subjects to tackle with the upmost of respect, dignity, and courage.

I'm in awe of writers such as her because she throws her heart and soul into ever piece that comes from her mindset.

The Four Winds was not you typical Dust Bowl, Great Depression, Stock Market Crash that produced such horrendous and difficult hardships the greatest of its time.

It's also about Elsa Martinelli -a woman determined to make a name for herself -one other than farmer-mother-daughter - friend.

She's a woman with a purpose, a mission, and a goal to not only come out on top but to fight the good fight.

While nothing has been gifted to her -the land is sacred-it's part of her livelihood-it defines who she is yet she must make the toughest choice -to stay in Texas -or head out to California for greener pastures.

Can you imagine the strength, the courage, the will to survive to simply pick up and leave it all behind for the hopes of something larger than life?

She's a woman who was often told she can't do it-she won't be successful-yet she's sure as hell determined to prove them all wrong.

I absolutely loved this novel and hope you will too!

Thank you to Kristin, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
