Book Review: "Under The Southern Sky" By Kristy Woodson Harvey

First and foremost thank you to Kristy Woodson Harvey, the publisher, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC as it was one amazing ride through Southern Carolina.

Under the Southern Sky was an amazing work focusing not just upon infertility, friendships, marriages, careers, but also on woman's rights and the issues they hold near and dear to their heart.

Without going into too much detail we have our main character Amelia -a recent divorcee- and journalist who has just uncovered the story of the century.

Meanwhile her friend Parker has just lost his wife Greer and has a huge decision to make -one that will ultimately determine the outcome of this story-and every additional relationship of all those who follow.

I was totally engulfed in this story as Kristy is one of my favorite authors with her light, airy, and appealing reads.

The notion that a woman can carry as a surrogate and bring into this world the children of another woman who passed is simply remarkable and so important in many ways especially in this case as these frozen embryos cared for and processed with love were deemed abandoned. Her babies deemed as abandoned. The grief was apparent, evident, and destructive yet these two individuals were able to come together and find solace in each other.

The visuals, the emotional framework, the entire plot was so fantastic that I hated for it to end but when it did we uncovered so much more than we ever thought possible in regards to Amelia's extended family and future goals.

This is one of those romance, chick lit, women's fiction piece has truly outperformed those in the genre and created a space all Harvey's own.

Thank you to Kristy, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
