Book Review: "A Time For Mercy" By John Grisham

Many things in life bring great joy and while many may focus on the significance of personal items and memorabilia it's often the meaning behind those items that store the true spirit and reasoning for the emotional appeal that resonates far and wide.

In this case this was a powerful story of the spirit to not quick, the will to survive, the emotional energy that was drained in learning about a woman who played a crucial yet deeply saddening story in it all.

What happens with the Great Depression, the stock market collapse, the loss of income-jobs-wealth-and land was just one part of the story because there's a much deeper story about slavery and the ownership of slaves that creates a challenging read.

Frankie is an older character that you wish you could just hold onto and caress with love and adoration. She is deservant of praise for the remarkable tenacity and intellect this woman possessed on this connection of paths between Frankie and Rena.

I enjoyed every last drop of this heroine read and hope there's more to come in this historical fiction realm for Michell Shocklee as this is highly recommended.
