Book Review: "Things We Didn't Say" By Amy Lynn Green

Sarcastic wit, charm, alongside pure historical fiction that reads like a finely crafted hand written letter that'll stand the test of time.

As a debut author Amy Lynn Green has a writing style that leads one to ponder the emotional turmoil that these men faced while in battle on enemy lines, and the will to not only survive but thrive within this new work, "Things We Didn't Say." For a debut the amount of material displayed here with censorship, with victims of the time noting prejudice, with legalities and more was well thought out and researched.

This new novel captivated readers like myself who enjoy this genre, this time period, and the historical significance with daring and uncanny thoughts pertaining to not only the legalities but the humanitarian prospects of seeing the enemy as a real person with acceptance as a virtue.
The premise and title tell the background nicely as we embark on this journey through time to a place that's rich in horror but also compassion and empathy and we need this at the present time with this lack of transition to power.

We can't always imagine what others may be thinking but the notion that we can always be open to differences is what stands to unite our nation and what is the take away from this work.

The power of prayers as a Christian work is also in play as we view some remarkable characters that practice what they preach in regard to their faith , their devotion, their love for their neighbors, and the power of prayer coupled with forgiveness as the ultimate grace.

Thank you to Amy, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
