Book Review: "House of Correction" By Nicci French

I've heard of memory lapses but absolutely no recall of MURDER?

Well, ok Tabitha but like she noted who would believe her......

Clearly, the defense has their work cut out for her especially considering the blood was on her and the body was in the backyard.

Who could've done such a horrific act of violence and why?

Tabitha has several guesses and this one plays out like a darn good Clue game with the candlestick and all but it's a sizzler with that slow cooking option.

As we piece it together, way the legal options, figure out strategies, and move forward with the evidence at hand we realize there's more to this story but it's a drip by drip plot that keeps readers hooked.

I literally was short on time as this book was on hold by another patron of my library so it couldn't be renewed. Therefore, it was super reader to the rescue with reading at all levels elevated. Yes, reading while waiting for daughter to be let out of school. Reading on the way out of running errands while sitting in each individual parking lot. Heck, more reading on the way to drop the book off at the library's drop off box in the parking lot.

Plenty of enticing moments that took off here as it's an exhilarating ride to the finish line.
That ending was superb and worthy of the gold!

It's a race to uncover the truth as the clock ticks, the enemies are enclosing upon the boundaries, and the rewards are greater than ever before!
Powerful stuff!!
