Book Review: "Dancing with the Octopus" By Debora Harding

Thank goodness Debora Harding is with us, as her voice, her story, her powerful revelations need to be told!

This memoir is heart felt, touching, emotionally pulling with such vivid memories that make readers feel we are right there with her but sadly we aren't able to help.

It's this power struggle of helplessness, anxiety, fight or flight responses that lead readers from beginning to end in this new work that begins in her childhood at the young age of only 14 years old when she wanted to simply go back to church and instead was taken by knife point in 1978.

The man responsible was serving prison sentence when she went face to face with her abductor, attacker, and rapist.

It was a radical quest for truth that propelled her to seek answers that have played havoc on her psyche over the years.

Charles Goodwin was a monster and the only thing left that he could've offered Debora was closure and I'm glad she was able to use her voice for all victims and survivors of abuse.

Thank you to Debora, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
