Book Review: "Her Last Flight" By Beatriz Williams

I'm a woman who loves strong female supportive roles.

In this case we have women being depicted as crazy unstable married mothers who would do anything to get a man to come back to them especially when you must be in the supportive female role.

I'm also not a fan of how this was presented because a disconnect was present in the era when a woman can pull out everything she needs as a photographer/research journalist/reporter but not have what she needs for a few days stay.

This time frame was between '28-'47 yet we had people with zoom cameras & people who owned two vehicles yet had difficulty procuring a radio.

In addition, the two main characters didn't really work for me. Janey was a war reporter and photographer conducting research about Sam Mallory - a lost pilot- that simply vanished years ago. He had a lover named Irene who seemed to add to the mystery and ambiance during the Spanish Civil War.

It was all too forced for me and didn't sit well as a free flowing idea as many of her other novels...

Thank you to Bibliotheca for this digital copy in exchange for this honest review.
