Book Review: "Use the Power You Have" By Pramila Jayapal

“Pramila Jayapal came to Congress in 2016 as a progressive outsider, but she’s quickly adapted to become the activist insider—negotiating with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with the goal of turning progressive ideas into real policy.”
—Vox Magazine, February 20, 2019

"In November 2016, Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, the first Indian American woman to serve in that role. Two years later, the “fast-rising Democratic star and determined critic of President Donald Trump,” according to Politico’s Playbook 2017 “Power List,” won reelection with more votes than any other member of the House. Jayapal, co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, proved her progressive bonafides when she introduced the most comprehensive Medicare-for-all bill to Congress in February."

Her new work showcases the power of the mind of a determined individual to make a difference and be the light needed for change in creating an America that works for us all.

As a young woman she decided to designate her life to that of helping others including immigrants and was on the front line making her case.
She's truly an inspiration to everyone who wants to know what more than can do in altering public policy and creating new initiatives that help the common man, women, and child.

This is the way and should be a book utilized by anyone interested in government, public policy, reform, and uniting a nation.

Thank you to Bibliotheca for this e-book version as it was not only insightful but liberating to see her progression not just as a 'brown' woman but as a powerful strong feminine role model.
