Book Review: "Devoted" By Dean Koontz

"Prey shall submit, and predators shall reign supreme."

'Devoted' how I've longed for you to arrive via Dean Koontz to set the stage for one hair raising experience!

You know when you think your down to the wire you probably don't envision telepathy as part of the knowledge we call instinct nor do you view dogs having some extraordinary powers...

I love all animals so this fit in nicely when coupled with the thrills and oh those chills...by word they were horrific yet oh so good.

In this one we have quite a vast array of characters and animals alike.

The main character-Shackett- sure has a reputation and albeit not a great one at that!

He seems to be infected with biological catastrophe and incapable of reproduction.

His attention has been upon Megan and her autistic child (Woody) who just so happened to hook up with a narcissist named Jason. They ended up divorcing and incoming Lee Shackett picked right up on the vibes. Women it's always about women for this poor soul.
Kipp the gifted dog was there too with a heart of gold.

However, several people go missing like Justine? After all what did happen to her and that lovely man she was with on the side of the road in the souped up car?

I honestly don't think you want all the details but suffice to say," Once bitten twice shy" is replaying in my mind at this moment...UGHH!

Infected with an agent of change?! Wait--Repeat that again?!

Programming to invade every cell of the body known as agent Archaea?...

This is getting freaky...

What about this billionaire - what's he up too lately...Dorian Purcell you say, Right?!

Well, folks this will blow your mind and wet the whistle for those sour taste buds are still lingering long after it's been read.

This was an L.P. version for me with plenty of wiggle room to enjoy.

Thank you to Osterhout Library for this new copy in exchange for this honest review.
