Book Review: "The Haunting of Gillespie House" By Darcy Coates

The Haunting of Gillespie House -started off with a bang but ended up with a dud!

I was just starting to get into the swing of this haunted 'mansion' or 'building' as the main character Elle called it but wasn't at all surprised by the action.

Of course, with all haunted stories you'll want to cast some eerie glows, some dark scenes, disturbing occurrences, frequent visitors in the night but perhaps the biggest issue was the unbelievable features that left readers wondering what on EARTH?

The writing was good, it was quick, it was fast and concise for speed readers as myself with great punctuation however, it felt rushed especially as we came to the end.

Have you ever read a book and it flowed nicely and you entered into this alternate universe that seemed out of place? Like why are we here-what does this have to do with the plot- is this a new twist- type of feel?

When we were introduced to two more characters near the end -we find these mannequins- and they also have some weird characteristics to them.

So, I tried to just say ok -whatever- but then the ending came and went like-wait?what?
It was a great idea but the execution wasn't for me.

Thank you to Darcy Coates, the pub, Goodreads for this Giveaway in exchange for this honest review.
