Book Review: "Calm the F*ck Down" By Sarah Knight

Sarah Knight is the type of author that you feel like you've known her for years.

Easily a hands down woman; with her appeal that's part humor part self indulgent.

While many may not take much away it's the idea that you can't fly off the handle every time shiite hits the fan.

I have a son who I swear won't last five seconds in adulthood (yes, he's 19) because every little thing is like a mountain rather than a mole hill (he takes after his father) lol.

In my entire life (46 1/2 yrs --but whose counting?!) I've grown up with a family that's high strung and not on drugs.

So yes, the anxiety , the ADHD, the rest of that toxic soup isn't hard to see where it might stem from because you simply can't operate in that arena of life.

I have to literally detox and declutter from the family just to get my work finished and on time.

Thankfully they are spread out over the country which makes it easier now but man alive don't invite 'em to dinner unless you have plenty of Advil stocked and ready.

If you're like me having been the scapegoat it's a much different scenario and the constant put downs without ever a lick of support --well lets just say it's taxing and exhausting.

So when you pick this up keep in mind we all have a story to tell and it may not fit the way the other pegs fit.

Yet, there's always something we can take away and learn from in doing better while accomplishing goals.

Sleigh them goals!
