While not much can be said for Christmas spirits - this book did have plenty of dark mysterious ones ghost around cysterns, cemetaries, while on the property at the Tradd Street home.
It could be for the unfinished business that swirls there with a past history unlike no other.
Complete with a treasure fit for a king from the Colonial war and plenty of secrets to go along with said treasure.
Of course, those rumors swirl around the death of Marquis de Lafayette and those who served to protect.
Now there's also several side plots going on with plenty of twists around a committed suicide and an engagement back in the day.
So, just be alert. Stay on guard. Watch your toes and your back.
Nothing is as it seems especially in darkness.
Hieroglyphics may have been a thing of the past but we need to dust off and get it back in play here.
Loved the whole concept around this one but as noted not much for the reason of the season as one might've thought based on title alone.
Never judge a book by its cover...
