Book Review: "The Moonshiner's Daughter" By Donna Everhart

Out of desperation, destruction, ignorance, and condemnation comes Jessie a young girl who was subjected to a lifestyle early on that was not of her choosing.

Her family is quite full of toxicity as she tries to separate from the notion that she's a moonshiner's daughter.

Running to stills, blowing things up, losing limbs, and creating havoc running bootleg's is not something she wants to do the rest of her life.

It's after all the 1960's and the Sasser family has become a household name with alcohol and law enforcement.

Jessie has another serious problem too which involves eating too much peach cobler while suffering from an eating disorder.

Her mom died when she was only 4 yo and so she's a daughter without that safety net in place.

It makes one wonder- Could she have been destined for self destruction?
A school nurse even noticed the issues at hand yet not many others in her inner circle did which begs the question why?

The way this author comes around to the finale will blow your mind as we learn that Jessie went missing and her story comes full circle to the year 1995 when something is located, something that puts the mystery to an end!

Wow!

A great new read for all fans of Donna Everhart - a talented and dearly loved author!

Thank you Donna, the publisher, NetGalley in exchange for this honest review.
