Book Review: "On Ocean Boulevard" By Mary Alice Monroe

From a historical perspective, to the environmental, to the political and everything in between this book on the beloved Charleston SC homestead is rooted in values, honesty, and integrity.

It's that Southern drawl that appeals to the readers. The down home country feel, the old fashioned rooted family, the 'sisters before misters' feel.
Readers are in for a treat as Cara is coming back home because she has a wedding coming up.

Her niece Linnea returns on the verge of a new career while developing her skills in relationships.

Everything appears fine until that one day when Hope is brought to urgent care in need of assistance and nobody knows if she'll live or die.

Scary stuff but the idea of having your kids vaccinated is a hotly contested debate today especially within those fleeing their own countries for the safety of a new life here in the United States.

What if you thought your child was vaccinated but it turns out you were wrong?
Could you live with yourself if something terrible resulted because of that one grave mistake?

I'll dare take it one step further what if you were lied too about your son or daughter's vaccinations or lack thereof?

Well, one thing is for sure you must be stay strong and know your own worth.
"Control the narrative" is one idea that comes to mind and Mary Alice Monroe is sure to do that in this fab new novel.

What a delight to encounter this ARC while knowing the fact that it takes more than a man to split up a family. It takes more than human error to tear a family apart.

"People listen to your definition of yourself." Make sure you paint them a great one.

This is a must read!

Thank you to Mary Alice Monroe, the pub, and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
