The hardships and hysterics of parenting is quite an interesting look into the new norms of sleep deprivation, breast feeding, and multi-tasking.
The two unwed characters are lively and active in their own separate ways but have a relationship that's cold and distant.
Sounds like a one sided deal in which the mother -Renee- is begging for a day off and Nick is too busy to assist in raising the newborn.
I enjoyed the way this was written with Susan showing month by month the struggles and the issues that were addressed.
Some days you just need a shoulder to cry on and it seems both parties here found that in their own individual ways.
As the story nicely progresses we are introduced to another flip side of the coin and the need for love, attention, affection and a relationship that is questionable for saving.
Can these two come back together and work out their issues?
Can they ever truly work as one structured unit for the sake of their child?
What will the future hold?
I love a great ending and a powerful story line and this luckily had both.
What a joy to read!
Thank you for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
