Book Review: "The Guest List" By Lucy Foley

"a storm is raging. It shrieks around them, it batters the marquee.”

― Lucy Foley, The Guest List

The only reason I won't be providing a five star is for the fact it was difficult to follow with various pov's acting out simultaneously while completing the final nail in the coffin.

Look-drinking parties, weddings, unification isn't for everyone but this one drives the chill, the dark, the deep into another realm with this secluded Ireland location, limited phone service, and harrowing dark thoughts upon reflection of their pasts.

What makes a great thriller isn't just pulling out twist and turns out of nowhere but keeping it flowing fast and furious with a plot t
hat increases with each flip of the page and this was no exception from Lucy Foley.

The constant guessing, the leading up to the moment of climax, the vast array of suspects, the thoughtful projection of emotions had everyone running in all directions as if losing one's mind and I loved every second of it.

Will and Jona originated it all but it began to branch out and ever so cautiously with a magnification upon each individual like I've never witnessed before and that's quite a feat to accomplish.

Who wishes the bride and groom harm? Why?

What about their pasts will come to light?

Well, all I can say is the tide will come and you best be prepared to not get swept away...
This was riveting!

Thank you for this audio which takes me longer to manage but it was worth the wait from my local libraries.

Please don't forget to show them love and do the curbside pickup if available to keep them active during these trying times.
