Book Review: "Thick as Thieves" By Sandra Brown

Sandra Brown has brought it home with passion, intensity, and lively characters that are all her own. If you're a huge fan like me- you'll fall in love with this one rather quickly.

She's the master of thrillers and leave no doubt this will rock your world!!

It begins with a past history from twenty years earlier in which a heist that involved millions resulted in one hospitalization, one dead, and one that got away.

That one that got away was the father of these two ladies (Arden and Lisa) which were termed the 'golden child' and the 'scapegoat'.

However, rolls can switch and in this case the scapegoat is the one you want to keep your eye upon as her roll switches up with her father's.

The real question centers upon the take-down which was quite gruesome involving a swamp, a boat, and an alligator or two.

Now, Brian Foster is dead but the story surrounding his fate, the missing bag of money, and the father's disappearance is still swirling.

Where's Joe Maxwell? Does he still have ownership of this wealth? Is he alive or dead? Does he ever think of those left behind?

Things boil over when Arden returns to her homestead and must deal with a stalker aka District Attorney Rusty Dyle.

Rusty is quite the character who gets away with more than one can imagine and is dirtier than the pond scum.

Sure, there's some side stories with burglaries and the family's acceptance to hide the secrets but there's more to this missing money as many wonder if it's been spent.

Remember all that sparkles isn't golden and there's some shady apples in here that need to be picked out.

Money is usually at the root of all evil and in this case it's at the center and in full view of those who are open and honest enough to see through the smoke and fog.

That homestead is going to be a crucial meeting spot in more ways than one but will the walls speak or will one of the characters do that for them?

It's a busy story with some fab chills, thrills, and spills so make it worth your while and get yourself a copy -today!

Thank you to my curbside pickup marathon reads courtesy of my local libraries during this lovely pandemic for keeping me entertained and in this case with a large print.
