Book Review: "Anxious People" By Fredrik Backman

That moment when an open house turns into hysteria via an idiot aka bank robber.

Who could've predicted this set up during a pandemic other than the infamous Fredrik Backman.

Bombs, guns, psychologists, couples, suicide jumpers, and so much more are waiting to be found in this new work -Anxious People- each with their own story to tell and part to play.

The tie in near the end was phenomenal but before I go there we should discuss this back and forth playground of emotions for not only the not so smart but the elusive.

Basically it can be summed up rather nicely-We are all idiots doing our best -raising our kids- getting the job done- being in love- and taking off as the go-getter- career minded folks.

Nadio was my absolute favorite and her role in all this couldn't go unnoticed!!

As you may know Zara found this letter 10 yrs earlier by a suicide jumper. The story progresses to be told in a way that we uncover another boy vanished after rescuing another girl on that same bridge a week later.

Could these circumstances be related? Will their be closure? Can those hostages find a new purpose and sense of vision for the future?

Will this traumatize those involved?

So, many questions that will be examined and discovered in this gem.

Thank you to my local library for this hardcover that was totally unexpected in its arrival.
