Book Review: "The Breaker" By Nick Petrie

That moment when you're in a reader's slump and are praying for a miracle thriller and folks this is that thriller.

Thank you Nick Petrie for restoring my faith in the thriller/mystery/suspense category as The Breaker touched upon everything I was seeking in a great read.
This one is the sixth in the Peter Ash series and let me tell you this one packs a punch literally and figuratively.

I've read everyone in this series and have enjoyed them all. The lowest rating in this series was a 3 star to date. The first and the sixth were both rated 5 stars of course, in my own personal opinion.

This one begins with swift action on Peter Ash's watch. He's just busted up a criminal spree and this leads to the author's exciting rush of adrenaline with a host of characters. They include but aren't limited to a "ruthless tech thief, an eerily cheerful assassin, a brilliant and troubled inventor, and a revolutionary technology that could wreak devastation in the wrong hands."

I absolutely enjoyed every twist in this one and the high tech hyenas and more. It was a constant flow of intensity and electrifying energy that never subsided.

There's no need to use overly aggressive action, constant repetitive foul language, harsh treatment of women, derogatory commentary or politics in this one as this was pure chills all the way till the end.

While you might find a few choice words mingled in it's not overly redundant as I've found in many other books of similar nature and the sentences weren't choppy, short, and offensive.
They instead consisted of a strong plot, tenacious and vibrant action, and characters that were interesting and intriguing.

A total five star for this gem.

Or, as C.J. Box noted, "Nonstop action at a machine gun pace."

Totally agree!
