Forgot about all the specifics as Cornwell is on top of her game.
The research this author has performed not just on Quantum but in addition-Spin- has showcased her talents and abilities as a writer.
As an author she's certainly captured the reader's attention with heart pounding action, special chips, drones, intel, and expert undercover and special op connections that would entice anyone not just space explorers or science guru's to pick this one up and enjoy.
Besides the above this is formatted with two women in mind. Specifically, twin sisters Captain Calli Chase and Carme whom both take the bull by the horn.
This starts with much fanfare. It begins with a rocket launch gone awry-hacked- with many innocent bystanders being blown to bits.
Of course, Calli owes her sis some major love after saving her arse from clear and present danger.
Carme is now on her own separate mission after this incident while wearing what's known simply as ART. ART is a new techno feature allowing specialized viewing through use of highly constructed contact lenses.
If you're looking for protagonists you may seek Calli and her antagonist- Neva Rong! Neva is pissed off that her own sister Vera was killed in the blast. She may just try to redirect the blame upon our ten year old boy Lex- who was taken under the advice and expertise as an intern - under George (Cassie's father) who worked in unison on this NASA project.
It's high energy octane to space in which Callie ventures to take down the threat in space. It appears it's on a crash course and must be stopped before it reaches the space station and wipes out all communication lines for not only governmental purposes but space exploration and beyond. This adventure ends with one hell of a cliff hanger but the individual responsible for such actions is made known so it's not a complete pull out.
Thank you to Osterhout Free Library for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
