Book Review: "The Hare" By Melanie Finn

“The trees absorbed the cruel wire, grew straight and tall, regardless." The women absorb the barbs from the ass-hats and egocentrics and still stand tall.

What more can one feminist say other than to read this book as soon as able because this is ideal for not only a book discussion but a worldly discussion of mass proportions on a number of topics.

Some of those include politics, classism, feminism, child abuse, sexual gender, and much more.

Societal ways often impeded upon acceptance and in this book The Hare we see those items coming to fruition.

An older man meets a younger woman and gets her pregnant. He then proclaims he'll help her with child only to abandon her and run off.

Darn, if this don't ring true.

What I enjoyed is the fact that he didn't run far -just don't go down the cellar folks!
I'm just sayin' a shot in the arse might be a good thing.

Who am I too judge.

Seriously, we must stay focused on the prize here. Freedom. Family. Love. SURVIVAL!
The fact that Rosie found her way through this maze of madness was nothing short of a miracle.

Orphaned. Raised by a strict grandmother. Left to find her way without much guidance or moral support.

This will rub some the wrong way but for others who've seen the light it'll shine brighter knowing there's always hope even in the darkest of days.
