Book Review: "Sing Freedom" By Vanita Oelschlager

I wish we discussed the history of Estonia and its independence from what was then known as USSR (Soviet Union) and now Russia.

It's beyond my comprehension why we don't have more of this in our history classes as young children.

Truth be told this was a splendid new work by Vanita that showcases the lack of freedom, the threat of violence, and the fears that Estonians had upon being taken over by the Soviets.

In 1991, the Estonians fought back and declared victory winning back their freedoms.

They are now ranked 6th in that independence ahead of USA (8th).

This was a brief, short, but suffice novel that provided the much needed discussion about historical pasts and the costs of human kind that was forever altered.

Thank You to Vanita, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
