Book Review: "Her Perfect Life" By Sam Hepburn

Sometimes, you get lost in a book, bogged down by details, hoping that the ending will make up for the fluff. This ending certainly made up for the rest.

This was an extremely detailed novel by Sam Hepburn. It was a tedious read that requires your undivided attention (single parents with multiple kids -this may not be well suited for you) but if you can devote the time this one can promise an explosion of thrills.

It begins innocently with two women Juliet and Gracie. Juliet is our single mom whose low on funds and even lower on moral. She lacks the confidence and stamina to find hope among the darkness especially with regards to her ex Ian the father of their daughter Freya.

Gracie Dwyer is living perfection. She has everything she needs. A spouse (Tom), a daughter (Elsie), and a great life. What more could she want?
How far is one willing to go to maintain the status quo?

I'll tell you this one was a humdinger. It started slow, built up the tension piece by piece, and hammered it down like an anvil.

Just when you see a bond form between these women you're blindsided like a freight train and left pondering what just hit you broadside.

There's definitely something connecting these women but what? What about the other women that enter this picture- Louise, Lana, Jess- how are they connected to Gracie?
Apparently, they say blood is thicker than water. Family siblings may fight like dogs but they love each other and compromise.

However, compromise may be as elusive as this plot as it thickens like gravy and brings in some heavy hitters working overtime behind the scenes.

Gracie - girl- you had me -hook, line, and sinker. You got me good!
The only thing I have left said one woman is this, "A lungful of regret."
I don't have regret but I do have an absolutely new author to follow as I can't wait to see what she cooks up next.

Thank you to Sam Hepburn, Bookouture, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
