Book Review: "Judas Horse" By Lynda La Plante

“Do you know what a Judas Horse is? Charlotte asked as she buckled the bridle into place. When the wild mustangs are running free, you corral one and train it. It can take weeks, even months, but when he’s ready, you can release him and he’ll bring his team back into the corral like Judas betraying them.”

Truth be told this was quite a round-up of gangsters that never waivered to keep you on your toes.

In fact, you never knew what might come around the corner, stab you in the back, or run off into oblivion because everything was so darn shady.

I absolutely enjoy everything that Lynda La Plante writes and I knew this would be a compelling and inviting read for thriller lovers everywhere.

She never disappoints her guests and Lynda certainly created a powerful plot with striking characters that had me on edge from start to finish.

Michael DeVoe, Alberto, and the rest of them are all intriguing, mysterious, and deeply troubling individuals who see no harm in drug dealing, drug smuggling, and wreaking havoc with money changing hands.

Yet, DC Jack Warr knows he's got to do something and he does -going against the grain- to get it done.

Diamonds may be a girl's best friend but so too are Emeralds, Rubies, and the rest and darn, what girl wouldn't want them all with some loot to boot.

I was licking my chops after this one because it was mouth-watering-good!
Murder is just part of the game but death is forever.

An absolute must read for 2021!

Thank you to Lynda La Plante, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
