Book Review: "Haven Point" By Virginia Hume

Broken crayons still color!

Keep that in mind when reading this heartfelt novel because everyone has a backstory and you never know what that story might become later on in life.

Annie was deeply troubled woman. She had an addiction and yet she held so much artistic talent. It's unfortunate she left Haven Point and never really seemed to fit into this 'perfect role' as Maren and Oliver's daughter. Sadly, she never came into that motherly role not even upon becoming a mother herself to Skye.

While much has been made of the timelines and the generational appeal for me the interesting storyline took place around these relationships, the past history, the unexpected hidden truths centering around Charlie and Annie, and so much more.

There's an entire iceberg below the water in this one and it's not something you'll see coming your way until your actively engaged and sailing through unchartered waters in the coast of Maine.

The entire relationship with Annie and her reluctance to see this young man for who and what he truly is and depart his companionship.

You are brought into this one with a family that holds secrets as tightly as they hold traditions. Close to the sleeve with little room for anything else to take hold.

I absolutely enjoyed this read and hope you do as well as it was so deeply moving.

Fly on egret -fly on!
