Book Review: "The Girl's Guide To Building A Fort" By Jenny Fieri

An entertaining guide to a girl's world that is far removed from the 'wait for your dad, or brother, or husband' to help you.

This is a liberating piece by Jenny Fieri that had me reminiscing about day's gone by and all the things I've learned without feeling as though I was ever taught them.

I grew up in the boondocks of Northeastern Pennsylvania as an only daughter with three brothers and I wish I had this one handy as a reference point.

The ideas in here were superb. The notion that young girls could grow up to be scientist, cooks, builders, artists...etc. was superb.

I love the hand - on- guides that showed how to build a fire, become a conservationist, plant a vegetable garden, and so much more.

Whether you're addressing how to begin 'Camping 101' or 'Fishing 101' it's easy to tackle with self help instructions and ease of use.

This was a cute way to receive your badges on honor: Trailblazer, Jane of All Trades, etc... I love these both as a feminist.

Take this to the bank as this was perfect.

Thank you Jenny Fieri for installing values, courage, compassion in young girls and beyond.
