Book Review: "The Last One Home" By Victoria Helen Stone

Ok, well it's not what I expect from Victoria Helen Stone as I know her work and this seemed a bit off base.

The Last One Home is really about a grown woman named Lauren uncovering the truth about her father's past that was told through the eyes of the mother post divorce and beyond.

Surely, not quite the personified version of events and nothing that really held anything of interest.

The girl's mother's name was Donna which was to close to home and so I was distracted mentally in trying to get to the meat of this one.

All in all it was extremely slow as the latter part with the twisters starts to form the book abruptly takes a nose dive and leaves the plot hanging in the breeze.

I just can't for the life of me understand the reasoning behind this but if you're looking for something out of the norm this is your sign.

Thank you to Victoria, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
