Book Review: "Psychological Thriller Box Set" By Miranda Rijks

A wonderful collaborative collection of three amazing new works by Miranda Rijks in one lovely bundle.

As someone who enjoys thrillers and has read many of Miranda's pieces this one really stands out because they're all so well developed, engaging, and intriguing.

Having previously read the 1st in this collection -Roses Are Red- I was able to know what was expected from this author to build upon the expense for the next two books that I wasn't yet able to read till today.

Since I've previously reviewed Roses Are Red I'll spare all the details but suffice to say it was an excellent read involving a couple married 19 years and suddenly finding the spouse dead in the pool.

It then curtails into a nose dive with an affair that was uncovered with the best friends wife (Marianne and Ajay).

Lydia then is seen as a suspect alongside Ajay until the autopsy shows an electrocution resulted to cause the heart attack.

In the end it was financial abuse that resulted in dating a fraud who turned out to be anything but a knight in shining armor. This new guy Patrick seemed to be a dream come true but was a monster in disguise.

His sidekick Fiona was in on this extravagant plot to take down Lydia and kill her in exchange for this wild devotion to one another.

In the second part of this collection: Deserve To Die we find Dom and Stacey having a perfect life till Tamara spoils their terrain.

Tamara is a wild card who is Craig's girlfriend. She takes over Stacey's life going so far as to deem Stacey incapable of raising her kids and having her placed in a psych ward.

Isn't it nice that she went to visit her there? UGHH- spare the expense.

Now, we find that Jeanie is Tamara's mom who sheds some extra light on this topic.

Did Tamara kill Dylan? Well, we don't know because she's vanished.

Dylan and Zachary both committed suicide or did they?

It may be all going back for evaluation after the truth's been shed. In fact, she may simply turn back up on the beach.

Who knows but what I do know is that this was a twister that kept me entertained.

In the finale we have : You Are Mine in which we find Rupert searching for his perfect wife.

You know the old saying what you want you can't always have.

This is that story as it's sick, twisted, and deeply dark with madness entering the picture.

Rupert prepares this punishment room for Charlotte his victim.

Sadly, Charlotte met this whack nut during an artist rendering in which she was paid to paint him.

Now he's holding her captive in his dungeon fit for a queen.

He's learned from the best you could say as his father also has a deeply troubled past.

Jodi her sister is now seeking answers to Charlotte's whereabouts with the police actively engaged.

Eventually she's able to escape from the wrath but not before having to use her wits to take the wheel and do her own sort of justice.

The fact that these two may have a familiar interest is disturbing as Rupert's dad clearly was a busy man with Simone.

The interaction and discussion that then centers around Simone was truly captivating, scary, and intriguing all the same.

This was an fab thriller pack that I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy.

Thank you to Miranda Rijks, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
