Book Review: "Nine Lives" By Danielle Steel

Momma always said -Beware of the bad boys! Yet, she also said absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Live and Learn -The great debate- of second chance romances has arrived with one of my favorite authors of all time.

As a huge fan of Danielle Steel I'll literally jump at the chance to get an early read in any time I'm offered.

However, this wasn't quite as concrete as some of her past works and I just didn't feel as emotionally involved with these characters.

As a Pocono Raceway Fan Council Member the race car scenes were right up my alley (no pun intended) however, the fan fare was short lived as their wasn't much meat on the bones.
The idea that the high school romance returns and is to pick up after the ball was dropped and all's well that ends well -fizzled like the bath bombs we use for enjoyment sake.

The idea seemed great, the premise was intriguing, but Maggie Kelly seemed one sided and marries for safety moreso, than love-aim to please- in the motto of the day.

When that falters Paul (motorcycle daredevil) they meet up accidentally at a casino, and they end up riding off into the sunset both literally and figuratively this after her entire family is gone from a multitude of tragic accidents.

It was just too convenient, not enough emotional appeal, and sluggish for me to jump right into the water.

Thank you to Danielle Steel, the pub, Netgalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
