Book Review: NYPD Red 6 By James Patterson

An interesting concept between the NYPD and NYFD in which collaboration takes on an entirely different meaning.

What happens in this scenario involves a woman deemed a 'gold digger' marrying James for his wealth. In fact, it's his mother who has the funds to pay the bills and he sets to inherit a windfall when she drops.

Surprise, guess who drops off early?

Conveniently, it's no surprise that Erin -our celebrity adulation seeking gal- finds herself embroiled in a mess with her abductor.

Rumor mills run rampant as we uncover a deeper connection with some violence and a few deaths.

Thankfully, techno takes hold with surveillance images, NYPD city cam's, GPS, and the like via eye witness confirmations and then and only then are we able to start the ball rolling into making an arrest and bringing in charges.

Justice is eventually served up on a silver platter instead of gold but all's good! So good in fact, that I just reserved the first 4 in this series having read the latter two to date.

Thank you to curbside pickup for this wonderful new read at Osterhout Free Library.

Make sure you check out some great reads at your own local libraries as they're truly hidden gems in our community.
