“Life is change -- if nothing's changing, you aren't living.”
― Sophie Cousens, This Time Next Year
Sophie Cousens surely knows how to entertain not just around New Years but during a pandemic with this fab rom-com with our gal -Minnie Cooper (yes, like the car) only she's has a string of bad luck after being born seconds too late on New Years Eve.
Now, this guy who took home the money for being born first for the year now has taken her heart nearly 30 yrs later and no joke, she's not trying to play into his hands but she sorta does and it's so darn cute and whimsical.
The flashbacks, the friendships with the ladies with bestie Leila and the meddling mothers was too much of a good thing.
After all she's 30, unemployed, and moving back to her parents place so it's not like she's busy or anything....
Tara Hamilton -Quinn's mom- has a wee-bit of anxiety issues and Quinn has learned to deal and process it all while being supportive of her needs which warms a mother's heart especially those suffering from similar issues.
Connie is Minnie's mom and she's also colorful and full of life and it's enjoyable to see the humor but also the family ties that showcase the apple never falls too far from the tree.
All in all this was a great read that I highly recommend.
