We're all broken -yet, even broken crayons still color!
Raw, Riveting, Heartfelt, and Powerful!
I'm not sure I've been as moved as I have in this lovely new work by Fiona Lucas- in quite some time.
This was elegance, charm, romance, and pure magic- all wrapped up into a tight bundle of lingo, the human element, and one's own life experiences.
For some life isn't all it's cracked up to be. Pain from the loss of a loved one -regardless of how that person departed or moved on-is for some-debilitating.
The anxiety, the stress, the insomnia, the heartbreak -all these emotions flowed one's cognitive abilities to simply function.
Mental illness is addressed as well as the will to feel the power of love.
Imagine if you will having just lost a spouse and mistakenly contacting a new male on the other end of the line who has since secured your former spouse's number.
You can't just hang up-Right?!
This is the brain child of Fiona Lucas in which two individuals deeply in pain and emotionally drained wind up finding each other through the fog and fall in love.
The twists, turns, and stumbling blocks add to the magnificence and charm of this beautiful scene displayed in each and every sentence.
It begins with two main characters Anna and Brody who both are processing grief and loss. Anna lost her husband in an accident and Brody is trying to move on from his loss of someone.
He's a former writer and woodworker who recently purchased a cottage and hasn't written a book in over ten years. Out of this comes- Pip's Adventures.
This is no accident. This is karma. This is a second chance at love.
Spencer was Anna's spouse who was tragically taken away from her nearly three year's earlier. She's now at a point in her life in which it's a New Year upon her and she's ready to embrace her journey- or, so we hope.
Will she succeed? Will she falter? Will she ever love again?
Is it possible to mend a broken heart?
Oh, this is lovely.
I do hope you enjoy!
Thank you to Fiona Lucas, Harper Audio, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for providing such an exquisite audio book my way.
