Book Review: "Finding Ashley" By Danielle Steel

To find your voice, your calling, and your roots all at the same time.

I love a great Danielle Steel book and this one hit the spot with the tenderness, empathy, compassion, and humility that only Danielle Steel can deliver.

The reason I enjoy Danielle's novels so much is that you never know where she'll take you but rest assured it will always be splendid as her imagination and deliverance is second to none.

This begins and ends with Melissa. A loving daughter and mother who has triumphed over adversity and has to have been courageous when she needed too. A divorcee with plenty on her plate after her divorce and the loss of her ten year old son Reggie to cancer. In addition, she's also rehashing old dreams about a lost child she gave up for adoption that hits home when her sister joins the convent to become a nun.

Hattie is a woman determined to help her sister find Ashley and goes against the grain to do such as a nun. What she doesn't expect is to uncover not only the truth but the terrible secrets that go along with them.
Meanwhile, a forest fire threatens the gorgeous Victorian home that Melissa has just purchased and everything may be a total loss unless lady luck and time is on her side.

The story gravitates to not only the fire but the person responsible, the connection felt for this young man, the memories of her daughter that she gave up as a young girl herself, and the struggles these sisters both face in their lives in uncovering their true identities and calling in life.

The human spirit is on full display in this eloquent portrayal but an author that tackled it with dignity and grace not to mention several disturbing topics like sexual abuse and violence are included that may be triggering to some.

A remarkable read by the very gifted and talented Danielle Steel. An author that I admire so much that I literally set over 200 other ARC's to the side to read this as soon as it was received via Netgalley.
What a blessing to be able to read this newest work!

I do hope this review finds you well and I hope this will entice you to read any and all of Danielle Steel's work.

Thank you so much to Danielle Steel , the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
