Book Review: "Little One" By Sarah A. Denzil

The Day of Reckoning is near? The 'Children of James' have been put into place. The shelters are nearly full.

WTH?

Oh, boy this one is sure to fire up the senses in all direction. The fact that Fran has now entered this realm of -no turning back- will be enticing to say the least.

"Take my hand, little one." Fran says this to Esther- a seven year old frightened girl she located in the woods. She was disturbed by the fact the young girl claimed to be waiting for her father. Her imaginary friend being God.

Fran's family warns her to not get to close. Esther seemed to show signs of neglect, trauma, abuse but why was she running away from home? Was there something far worse than anyone could've imagined going on here?

Can Fran save her and herself?

Father James is in the house and plays a central role in the lives of these children. How is he connected to them and what's the story behind this reading known as the 'Children of James' that he insist everyone read?

What is behind this ranch, who is the real Father Roger, and why are so many children keeping busy with various activities?
What the hell is going on here?

This new novel by Sarah is frightening yet heroic as we encounter a double edged sword of insanity playing out.

It's all about a 'cult' that carries so much anger, hostility, and kooks that will blindly follow off the cliff. Yet, can they are calling out for help.

The police are hot on the trail but can they too save anyone?

What's with the drink that they must take should something bad happen...

I'm enamored by the role Fran played. It was so difficult and demanding upon her from both the perspective of a wife but also of an adult trying to do the right thing.
The story behind her family members, herself, and Esther and Mary will all come into the light.

The light always seems to stave off the darkness and thankfully it's the light that shines upon the truth.

In case you're wondering: The Reckoning was about those ignoring the warnings, those who turned away from God, those who are sinners.

Breaking News: A fire has just been reported at the storm shelter. Police are on their way.
Missy is gone. Missy has been buried. Esther knows about Missy as she assisted.
The DNA never lies but lies are fruitful and lies take-over the world.

When the genetics are revealed, the end comes to light, the situation is exposed for the fraud it truly became -then and only then will peace be offered.
Fran luckily divorced but the destruction will long outlive the remnants of what once was a horrific event in time.

That ending was damning but so worthy of the OSCAR.

Thank you to Sarah, the pub, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
